Watch Breaker is a trading name of Union Boomer LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, USA. Union Boomer LLC is the controller of the personal data described here. This policy forms part of our Terms of Use.
The short version. We collect an email address and some photographs when you ask us for something. We use them to answer you and to build our reference library. We do not sell them, we do not advertise to you, and we do not run tracking cookies. Ask us to delete your data and we will.
| When | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You use a free lookup tool | Nothing identifying. The lookups run in your browser and we do not record what you type into them or keep a history of your searches. | — |
| You ask for free triage or a Movement ID report | Your email address, your photographs, and whatever you tell us about the watch. If you give them, a name and a reference number. | To answer you, produce your report, and deliver it. |
| You submit to Weigh Your Omega | The reference, hallmark, weight and description you enter, your photograph of the scale, and your email address if you provide one. | To verify the figure and add it to the public gold-weight register. |
| You email us | Your email address and the contents of your message. | To reply. |
| You pay for a report | We do not see or store your card or bank details. The payment provider handles that and tells us only that the payment was made. | To take payment. |
| Anyone visits the site | Aggregate, non-identifying traffic statistics — page views, country, referring site. No cookies are set for this and no profile of you is built. | To see which pages are useful. |
Weigh Your Omega exists to build a public register of real measured gold-case weights. If you submit a weight:
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies to you, we rely on:
We are a one-person operation and use ordinary service providers to run the site. Each processes data on our behalf:
Affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link to a shop such as eBay, Chrono24 or Amazon, that shop or its affiliate network (for example eBay Partner Network, Awin or Amazon Associates) may set a cookie or record the click so it can credit the sale to us. That happens on their site, under their privacy policy, after you leave ours. No affiliate code runs on this site, and we receive commission reports only, never your name, address or payment details.
Beyond these, we disclose personal data only where the law requires it.
Our providers are United States companies and your data is stored on servers in the United States and other countries where those providers operate. If you are in the UK, the EU or elsewhere with data transfer rules, understand that submitting information to us means it will be transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on the standard contractual protections our providers offer for those transfers.
Wherever you live, you may ask us to:
Email id@watchbreaker.com and we will deal with it within 30 days. There is no charge. If you are in the UK or EU and are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you may complain to your national data protection authority.
Photographs and submissions are held in access-controlled storage with our providers, and the site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we do not hold card details, home addresses or identity documents, so there is little here worth stealing.
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy. The version in force is the one published here, with its effective date at the top.
