Watch Breaker is a trading name of Union Boomer LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, USA. In these terms, "we", "us" and "Watch Breaker" mean Union Boomer LLC. "You" means anyone who uses this website, its free tools, or any service offered on it.
By using watchbreaker.com you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
Watch Breaker is entirely independent. We are not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Omega SA, the Swatch Group, or any of their subsidiaries or authorised dealers. "Omega" and all related names, marks and model names are the property of their respective owners and are used here only to describe and identify the watches and parts we write about.
Nothing we publish or supply is an official Omega document. We do not issue, replace or imitate an Omega Extract from the Archives or an Omega Certificate of Authenticity.
This site publishes free reference tools, including the serial number lookup, the calibre lookup, the case reference lookup, the crystal, hands and bracelet finders, the parts finder, the fiche coverage checker, the calibre data sheets, the price pages and Weigh Your Omega. They are compiled from factory parts catalogues, case sheets and public reference material.
These tools are supplied free of charge and are provided as is, with no warranty of any kind. In particular:
Do not treat a free result as a valuation, an authentication, or a basis on which to buy, sell, price or insure a watch. If you find a result that is wrong, please tell us at id@watchbreaker.com — corrections are welcome and we will fix them.
The Bench is a free browser game, and our films and Journal articles are free guides. They show vintage Omega movements as our own schematic drawings built from factory parts catalogues: not to scale, not a repair manual, and not a substitute for training, the right tools or the maker's service instructions. Part numbers follow the catalogues; the order of work follows the catalogues where they print one and is otherwise our own bench order. Where the guides we hold do not state a screw's thread direction, we say so: check before turning.
If you open, adjust or repair a real watch, you do so at your own risk. We are not liable for damage to any watch, part or person, and section 11 applies. Times, rankings and certificates on The Bench are for fun: a Bench certificate is not a qualification. A name you put on the leaderboard is public; the Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.
You may send photographs and ask what you have. Any answer given free of charge is an informal opinion, not a report, and section 2 applies to it in full. We are under no obligation to reply, and we may decline any submission for any reason.
The Movement ID report is a written document, currently US$75, produced from photographs you supply and checked against the factory parts records we hold. It states what the movement appears to be, and whether that calibre is recorded by the factory as correct for the case reference, with a stated confidence level and the sources cited.
How it works:
A Movement ID report is a documentary opinion based on photographs. It is not:
We state a confidence level on every finding precisely because photographic evidence has limits. You remain responsible for your own buying, selling and insurance decisions.
The promise: if the calibre identification in a paid Movement ID report is wrong, we refund the US$75 fee in full.
The conditions:
The process: email id@watchbreaker.com with the report number and your evidence. We will respond within 14 days. If the claim is good, the fee is refunded by the same route it was paid.
The limit: a refund of the fee paid is your sole and exclusive remedy in respect of any report.
We offer the first ten submissions a free Movement ID report in exchange for permission to publish the report and its photographs as a public case file. If you took part, that permission is perpetual and we may publish the case file on this site, on our YouTube channel, and in our own marketing. Personal details are not published: no names, no locations, no contact details, no serial-linked identity. You may ask us to withdraw a published case file at any time. You keep ownership of every photograph you send. By sending it you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it for the purpose of producing your report and for our internal reference library.
We will not publish your photographs publicly without your permission, except where you took part in the First Ten (section 7) or otherwise agreed in writing.
You confirm that you own the material you send, or have permission to send it, and that sending it to us breaks no one else's rights.
Where we sell movements, parts, cases, bracelets or lots, everything is sold as is and as described in that listing. Vintage parts are second-hand. Unless a listing says otherwise, nothing is sold as serviced, regulated, running to a stated accuracy, or fit for any particular watch. Fitment information given in a listing is drawn from the factory records and is subject to section 2. Terms of sale specific to a listing, including returns, are those shown in that listing or on the platform it is sold through.
How we handle your email address, your photographs and anything you submit through Weigh Your Omega is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Union Boomer LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, its free tools, or any report or item we supply — including lost profit, a bad purchase, a failed sale, a rejected insurance claim, or the cost of parts bought on the strength of a lookup result.
Our total liability in connection with any report is limited to the fee you paid for that report. Our total liability in connection with the free tools and free triage is limited to nothing, because they are supplied free of charge.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing here affects statutory consumer rights you may hold in your own country.
The data behind the free tools is ours to publish and yours to use for identifying your own watches. You may not scrape, bulk-download, republish or resell the underlying datasets, or use this site to build a competing database. Ordinary human use of the tools, and quoting a single result with credit, is fine and encouraged.
Some links on this site to marketplaces and shops, such as eBay, Chrono24 and Amazon, are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, the shop may pay Union Boomer LLC a commission. You pay the same price. Commissions never change a lookup result or a report.
A listing we link to is not one we have checked unless the page says so, and some linked listings may be our own items for sale; where they are, the page says so. Anything you buy through a link is bought from that shop, under its terms, not ours.
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here, with its effective date at the top. Material changes will not be applied retrospectively to a report already paid for — the terms in force on the day you paid are the terms that govern that report.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
